The
intervention
will address
the question
of how the EU
progressively
adapted its
institutionalised
relationships
with counfries
ami regions
around the world
to the globalisation
as well as whether
the shaping
of its current
and foreseen
network of agreements
and other forms
of institutionalised
dialogue with
the outside
world have the
potential to
influence decisively
the process
of globalisation.
This analysis
will be pursued
not only from
te economic
point of view
but also politically
and bearing
in mind the
need te take
into account
the change,
driven by globalisation,
of the role
of the several
actors in that
process and
the new way
they interact.
The intervention
will also touch
upon the influence
of the integration
process evolution
inside the Union
on this issue.
Finally, we
will also try
to compare the
EU strengths
and weaknesses,
vis a vis other
global partners,
in the process
of building
up and using
its network
of institutionalised
relationships
(with countries
ami regions
world-wide),
for the purpose
of influencing
the globalisation.
