FilmFestival Cottbus gewinnt den Newropeans Grand Prix 2005
Eine besondere Ehre wurde dem FilmFestival Cottbus am Samstag zuteil. Bei dem in Amsterdam (Niederlande) zum dritten Mal stattfindenden Newropeans Grand Prix wurde dem FilmFestival Cottbus der Newropeans Award in der Kategorie Kultur verliehen.

Hosted by Dutch TV host Chazia Mourali, the 2005 Newropeans Grand Prixs were awarded to people and projects especially devoted to the European democratisation on 26th November in Amsterdam. The Eurovision Song Contest won!

Grand European Jury elects winners online
The winners of the Grand Prix Newropeans 2005 will be chosen in the next few weeks by one thousand members of Europe’s civil society.
Between November 1 and November 20 the Grand European Jury will vote online to decide who will receive awards at a ceremony in Amsterdam at the end of the month.

Newropeans Grand Prix to the Euro-Mediterranean Youth Platform
On the 26th of November in Amsterdam, the Euro-Mediterranean Youth Platform was awarded the Newropeans Grand Prix for its contribution to democracy. The “Grand Prix” is granted by a wide jury made of around 1,000 actors of the European civil society coming from 25 States: representatives from universities, schools, regions, cities, associations, foundations, media and companies, of different ages and professions.

Place Publique fait partie des 18 nominés aux Grands Prix Newropeans 2005. Cette sélection est le résultat d’une consultation qui s’est tenue du 1er juin au 30 septembre sur Internet auprès des 50.000 lecteurs de leurs différentes publications (newsletters, headlines, revues de presse du réseau Newropeans et de ses partenaires Newropeans-Magazine, Europe 2020) qui a permis d’identifier des organisations, projets ou personnes contribuant d’une manière ou d’une autre à faire vivre l’Europe en la rapprochant des citoyens.

An exceptional evening in a prestigious location - the Felix Meritis Foundation, Keizersgracht in Amsterdam - hosted by famous Dutch TV presenter Chazia Mourali, with the participation of Franck Biancheri, President the Newropeans, Mr. Frans Hoekman, Director Forum 2020, Mr. T. de Bruijn, Dutch Ambassador to the European Union, and the Newropeans Nominees 2005, during which will be announced the results of the ongoing election and awarded the Grands Prix Newropeans 2005.
